Where we are
The village of Verteillac is 30 miles south of Angoulême, and about the same distance from Périgueux.
Roches is about 1½ miles from Verteillac, and 8 miles north of Ribérac (see insert).
It is approximately 400 miles from Dieppe (about 7½ hours by road), 350 from Caen, and about 5 hours from Paris and St Malo.
Angoulême is the nearest mainline railway station (2-3 hours from Paris or Lille by TGV) and has several car hire firms. Bordeaux (2 hours by car), Bergerac (1½) and Limoges (1½) are the nearest international airports.
